Buyer Profile

We will disclose your confidential information to NO ONE without your prior written authorization, which would typically be given only to provide an attachment to an offer to purchase, should your continuing interest and the process lead to such. We will treat your information with equal confidence to that of the sellers we represent.

If you’re a Business Buyer looking to acquire a business, usually the more we understand about your background and capabilities, and about what you’re looking for, the more likely we will be able to help you find it.

So, we’d like to help you build a Biz-Wanted Profile (link opens in a new window).

First, included is a Buyer Contact and Information questionnaire asking for general information; name, address, telephone, email, etc.  It also asks about business types, size, available cash, your background and experience, location, etc.

Second, is a listing of 1,000 (or so) Business Categories or types, based on the Standard Industrial Coding, (SIC), from which to identify business potentials. These are sub-divided into primary, secondary and individual categories, so you won’t have to look through all 1,000, but selecting those that you think would work for you, (and not selecting those that won’t), will generally tell us a lot about what would fit.

Third, is a Buyer’s Warranty and Confidentiality Agreement.  This is a blanket confidentiality agreement, applicable to each and every business with regard to which we will furnish you information. You can execute this agreement (for the time being) by simply accepting it (agreeing to it) on-line. Thereafter, with the first step in the process of showing you each particular business, we will provide you with a copy the same agreement, complete with detail on the subject business, for your signature.

Fourth, is a Net Worth Statement form. We understand you may not be comfortable providing us with this information right up front and it WILL NOT BE necessary right up front. But at some early point in the process, assuming we locate a business of interest to you and assuming that you will want to move forward with it, in keeping with commitments we will make to the business seller, it will become necessary for you to demonstrate your ability to purchase the business.  Of course, you may have a financial statement/disclosure otherwise prepared, in which case, assuming it will demonstrate adequate financial ability, it may represent a suitable replacement to the net worth form provided.

Confidentiality:  With respect to any of the above, you can provide today what you can and will, and then add to it, remove from it, and/or modify the information whenever you’d like hereafter.

We will disclose your confidential information to NO ONE without your prior written authorization, which would typically be given only to provide an attachment to an offer to purchase, should your continuing interest and the process lead to such. We will treat your information with equal confidence to that of the sellers we represent.
